1. If your game crashes at startup: Update your video drivers!
Intel: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/
ATI: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx
NVidia: http://www.nvidia.co.uk/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-uk

2. If your game crashes at startup: Try disabling Steam overlay
-Click on Steam and click on the "Settings" button. Click on the "In-Game Settings" tab.
-Uncheck the box next to "Enable Steam Community In-Game" and click OK.

3. If your game crashes at startup and you have an NVidia video card
Make sure the game starts on the NVidia GPU instead of the integrated GPU (usually Intel). You can do that from the NVidia Control Panel.

4. Dubious game behavior: Verify Steam cache
If you see enemies going through walls, missing textures or other game bugs that couldn't have happened with such skilled people working on the game. Read how to do it here: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_art ... -QEUH-3335

5. If your problem still persists, send an email at devteam (at) inthekillhouse (at)com with the file Documents\KillHouseGames\DoorKickers\log.txt and any .dmp files you can find there.

Our game uses OpenGL, which is much worse than DirectX in regards to drivers. Therefore our game may not work even if your next-gen DirectX game runs fine.

A lot of game issues is resolved on Steam by verifying the game cache. This action will make Steam search through the game directory and will detect if any files or folders are missing that you normally get when you install the game.

Many doesn't know, but sometimes the Steam download of a game can be interrupted when you turn off your computer or shut down the Steam client. It is not guaranteed that Steam will continue to download where it left off and it is very common when downloading over bad Internet connections, that this happens.

Right click your game in Steam and select "Properties".

Go to the tab "Local Files" and click "Verify Integrity of Game cache..." button.

Steam will now verify all your files in the folder and automatically download any missing files.

This may also be important when you update from older versions of the game to newer ones.

Thanks for the tip! Indeed this fix has been the answer very often lately.
We'll add this here and on the Steam Community thread.

Hi

Upon starting the exe, I am presented with the Windows Blue Screen, with error "driver_irql_not_less_or_equal" in "Ha20x2k.sys"
I'm running a GTX 980, and an i7 4770K, both updated to the latest drivers, and Windows 8.1.

Nothing is in the log file, and there are no .dmp files.

Any way to get the game to run?

Go to where the game is installed and rename OpenAL32.dll to OpenAL32.old. Now rename OpenAL32_haccel.dll to OpenAL32.dll

Let me know if it works.

Hi all.
I installed the GOG version of doorkickers on a Windows 10 PC.
3 seconds of music, then the game crashes with the message to send the crashdump file to Your email.
I did it a few days ago.

So, what can I do?
Thank You

Hi,
I replied to your email with this:
Make sure the game starts on the dedicated Nvidia video card instead of the integrated one (you can do this from NVidia control panel).

Maybe the situation is worse, now, becaue before I could hear 3 seconds of the initial sound of the game. Instead, now, I only receive the error message.
